Grove is a specialized method for top founders that helps you grow as a leader and build a more successful startup.
4-day program in the Bay Area facilitated by Leaders in Tech followed by six monthly peer groups (after which many groups choose to continue meeting on their own indefinitely). After the fellowship founders receive a lifetime community membership that includes peer group support, events, and more.
The program is based on T-groups, a form of experiential learning popularized by Interpersonal Dynamics, the most popular elective at Stanford GSB. You have open, challenging, and confidential group conversations that provide insights into how others perceive you and how you understand yourself.
Grove has helped founders make hard decisions, persevere, resolve conflict, fundraise, sell, hire, and lead; they also help form deep, honest, and enduring relationships. Hundreds of founders have called them "life changing" and a YC partner said the Leaders in Tech program is, "the best thing a leader could do for their company." To learn more, read the testimonials.
The program is facilitated by Leaders in Tech, which adapted Stanford's Interpersonal Dynamics course into a highly-regarded program for the post Series A founders of Figma, Notion, Lyft, and other startups valued at more than $50B. Grove is the same curriculum, tailored specifically for top early-stage founders.
Due to limited space, applications are accepted by nomination only. Applicants must be founders of early-stage startups that have raised over $500k but haven't yet raised a Series A (if you are beyond Series A apply to Leaders in Tech). The process includes a brief application and interview. We only admit one cofounder per company per cohort and we do not place founders with investors, competitors or anyone they work with directly.
Zero cash cost. We take an advisor-scale equity grant (0.05-0.25%) to make the program sustainable for future founders, structured as a $20k investment in your company on a standard YC SAFE at your most recent valuation with a side letter that says we invest the program in lieu of cash and we will refund the grant if you are unsatisfied for any reason in the first 30 days so long as you participate in the program in good faith (policy).
